We invite you to join us on a 10-mile pilgrimage of prayer through meditating upon the Stations of the Cross of our Lord’s sufferings and death.
The walking Pilgrimage will begin on Sunday, Mar. 24, at 10 a.m. at the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. John Paul II (St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish), 131 E. Edgar Rd., Linden, and conclude at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge St., Newark, at around 5 p.m., with the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Manuel Cruz. Reservations for our Parish celebration of the feasts of St. Patrick and St. Joseph (Sunday, Mar. 17 at 1 p.m. in Parish Center) will be on sale this weekend and continue until Mar. 10. Mark your calendars for our annual celebration of Mardi Gras – which translates into “Fat Tuesday” – on March 5. We start outdoors with burning last year’s palms and blessing them in preparation for Ash Wednesday services. This is followed by a dessert night (the fat in “Fat Tuesday”)!
