Volunteers Needed For 20/20 Project Postcard Campaign

The N.J. Catholic Conference of Bishops has approved a statewide 20/20 Project Postcard Campaign, conducted throughout the Respect Life Offices. The Archdiocese of Newark is launching its postcard campaign the weekend of Jan. 26-27, 2019 (the weekend after the March for Life).

The 20/20 Project is a collaborative effort of New Jersey-based pro-life groups working to ban abortion past 20 weeks in the state by passing the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” (A-1686/S-537) by the year 2020. This is the first step in protecting all unborn children. (Seventeen states have already passed this bill.) The purpose of the postcard campaign is to raise awareness and educate N.J. state senators, assembly members and the public that abortion is legal throughout all nine months of pregnancy in N. J. Babies in the womb at 20 weeks are viable and need to be protected.

Volunteers are needed from each parish to help with the campaign. A meeting for volunteers will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Archdiocesan Center in Newark. (Security & parking available) Postcards and instruction for this campaign will be distributed at that time. If you are interested in volunteering, please call or email the Rectory at 973-669-3221/stjosephwestorange@hotmail.com.
