Immaculate Conception

Dear Parishioners,

This week, the second week of Advent, we will celebrate the Immaculate Conception. This celebration will take place on Tuesday December 8.

The Blessed Virgin Mary's parents were Saints Joachim and Ann. The Immaculate Conception celebrates that Mary was conceived free from original sin. This was all part of God's plan for Mary to bring Jesus our Savior into the world.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is an example of faithfulness and obedience in following God's Will. Mary lived her life free from sin. Although she was a virgin, she agreed to give birth to Jesus, without losing her virginity. This was a true example of her faith in God and her obedience to Him.

Mary was born free from original sin. Because she said yes to God to bring Jesus into the world, we can receive the gift of eternal life. As we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, let's follow Mary's example of faithfulness and obedience in following God's Will.

Sincerely in Christ,

Father Dominick
