It was only a few months ago when Archbishop Meyers appointed me as pastor of St. Joseph's Church. As I begin my assignment as pastor, I look forward to getting to know all of you. I'd also like to tell you a little bit about me.
I was born in Hoboken and my family lived in Jersey City until I was four years old. Then we moved to Englewood Cliffs, which is where I grew up and my parents still live today.
My college studies were at Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Having majored in Finance, I worked for five years after graduating from Villanova, part of that time as s stock broker.
I first thought of the priesthood when I was in elementary school. It was at Villanova where I first spoke with a Vocation Director about the priesthood. During the five years after graduating from college, I worked, dated and had an enjoyable social life, but never stopped thinking about the priesthood.
I was ordained a priest in May, 1995. After serving in two parishes for the first ten years of the priesthood, I became a pastor in 2005 at Assumption Church in Emerson. After ten years of serving as pastor, I now begin a new assignment here at St. Joe's.
There is so much that I have learned about St. Joe's since my appointment and still so much more I will learn. I look forward to serving as your pastor and growing as a parish family.
Sincerely in Christ,
