It's that time of year when Christmas is over and we move into the dark of winter. No great holidays are currently taking place and summer still seems a long way off.
In the Church year, the Christmas season has ended and we are in Ordinary Time. The readings are about Jesus's public ministry. He is going out to God's people and building His Kingdom here on earth.
The important thing for us to remember is that God asks us to do the same as Jesus – to go out to God's people and build His Kingdom here on earth. Jesus taught us to love one another. In our kindness to each other, we make Jesus visible. In every way that we are friendly to one another or we reach out to help someone, we make Jesus visible.
Even though we are in the dark winter months, we still have reason to celebrate. On Christmas, we celebrated our Savior coming into the world. Every day, we want to celebrate that Jesus is always present to us. Let's follow His teaching of love for one another and make Jesus visible. In this way, we continue Jesus's work by going out to God's people and building His Kingdom beyond earth.
Sincerely in Christ,
