St. Joseph

Dear Parishioners,

This Sunday, March 19, is the feast of Saint Joseph, our parish feast. Before the Final Blessing during all Masses this weekend, we will pray our novena of prayers in honor of St. Joseph. Also, we will have a small reception after the 11:30 a.m. Mass in the Parish Center with coffee and Saint Joseph pastry!

Saint Joseph was the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus. He was a man of great faith. He found out Mary was expecting a child when they were engaged but before they were married and living together. He was going to end their relationship until an angel of the Lord told him the child to be born was the "Holy One of God."

Joseph took Mary into his home as his wife. He had to bring Mary and the infant Jesus away from Bethlehem because King Herod wanted to put the Baby King to death.

Saint Joseph protected Mary and Jesus from Herod. Together with Mary, he raised the Messiah. When we celebrate his feast, we celebrate Saint Joseph the Worker, the earthly father of Jesus and a man of great faith.

Sincerely in Christ,

Father Dominick
