Dear Parishioners,

Two weeks have gone by since the season of Spring began. We're beginning to have warmer temperatures and can believe that winter is over.

We had a good amount of snow this past winter. It is wonderful to see that the snow has melted, flowers will be starting to bud and Spring is in the air. Even baseball season is beginning as tomorrow is opening day for the Mets and Yankees!

As we enjoy the start of Spring, the beginning of warm weather and the new baseball season, we realize that it's a time to celebrate new things. In two weeks will be the greatest celebration of newness. On Easter Sunday we will celebrate new life . . . the new life Jesus won for us, the gift of eternal life!

Today's gospel prepares us for Easter as Jesus performs a resurrection miracle. After Lazarus had died, Jesus brought him back to life. The gospel tells us of Jesus's power over death. On Easter Sunday we will celebrate Jesus’s victory over death and the gift of eternal life.

Sincerely in Christ,

Father Dominick
