HELP WANTED: Looking for something to do in your spare time? Have some light office experience? Like children? We are looking for someone to help in the Religious Ed. office ten hours a week from September through June. While hours are flexible, there are times that your presence would be necessary. If interested, please call the office at 973-669-8331 for more information.

Second Grade Catechist and Sixth Grade Catechists needed! Being a catechist means sharing your faith and walking with our children as they grow in their friendship with Jesus. It also helps us to grow in our own faith. Please consider volunteering for either our Sunday morning program or our older children on Tuesday evenings. Call the Religious Ed office for more information.

Registrations for next year’s program have been sent out. If your child is attending this year, and you have not received a registration, please contact the Religious Ed. office. If you are a parent of a child entering first grade or a child in Catholic school who is of First Communion or Confirmation age and would like more information or to register your child, please contact us.

If you have a child starting kindergarten this year and would like to enroll them in our “Getting to Know Jesus” kindergarten program, please call the Religious Ed. office for an enrollment form or to obtain more information about the program.

RCIA or the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (and children over the age of 12) is the process by which baptized Catholics can complete the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation. It is also for those who are considering becoming Catholic or wish to be fully initiated into the Catholic Faith. The process adapts to meet individuals where they are in their search, and meeting times are flexible, depending on needs. If you are thinking about becoming part of the Church and need more information on the process, please call the Religious Ed. office at 973-669-8331. We would be happy to talk with you without any obligation on your part.

Our Summer Book Club meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall. We are reading Embracing the Way of Jesus, a collection of excerpts from the homilies and writings of Pope Francis, all centering on Christianity as a way of life – or, as the earliest Christians would have understood it, “the Way.” For anyone desiring to live out the faith in a way that can truly transform and heal our hearts and our world, Embracing the Way is the perfect place to start
