HELP WANTED: We are in need of a catechist for our Tuesday evening sixth grade. If you have a love for Jesus and an hour and fifteen minutes to spend with some delightful young people sharing that love, please consider joining our parish catechists. This year’s class is very small and the children are eager to learn. Your faith will become deeper as you work with the children and get to view Christ through their eyes. Call 973-660-831 for more information. The rewards are heavenly!

Parents of children entering First Grade who are interested in our Religious Ed. program and would like to receive information or register their child, please call the office at 973-669-8331. Please remember that the Archdiocesan policy requires two years of learning to be eligible to receive First Communion.

Children of kindergarten age are welcome to come and learn stories about Jesus through hands-on experiences and videos in a fun-filled program.

Parishioners with children in Catholic schools who wish their child to receive First Communion or Confirmation in Saint Joseph’s, please call the office for information as to how to proceed.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and children over seven) is created for those who want to become Catholics or are thinking about it and those who wish to be fully initiated in the Catholic Church (need First Communion and/or Confirmation.) If you are interested or have questions, please call 973-669-8331 for information. Each individual’s case is different and scheduling is flexible. Come on in – Christ holds the door open for you! If you would like to be part of the RCIA team (sponsor, catechist, prayer partner, etc.) please call the office.
