April 21 Updates

Wesolych Swiat! Happy Easter in Polish. May the Risen Christ knock on the doors of your hearts and find entrance. May He bless your homes with the peace that only He can bring. May you become for others the loving, caring face of Christ, now and always. Christ is risen! Be like Mary Magdalene who followed Christ’s mandate: “Go and tell the others.”


Tuesday classes resume April 23, and Sunday classes resume April 28. Children in the First Eucharist class do not have morning classes due to the Eucharist retreat which starts for parents and children at 1 p.m. in the Parish Center. The retreat should be over by 3 p.m. Attendance is mandatory.


April 14 Updates

On this most auspicious day, may we renew our energy and resolve to enter fully into the great gift that Jesus prepares to give us this week. Use the days of Holy Week to talk with your families about the splendor of the Eucharist, the call to discipleship and service to each other, the gift of the Priesthood, the promise of Resurrection and the great love the Trinity has for us in the promise of Easter.

Parents, please note that, due to the school vacation, there will be no classes April 14 or 16. There are also no classes on Easter Sunday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 23.

March 31 Updates

The sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated this Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. for our Tuesday evening students. Please be on time for class so we can begin promptly.

Parents of children receiving First Eucharist in May can pick up their banner kits this Sunday during Religious Ed. classes.

March 24 Updates

Thank you to all who attended our Saint Patrick and Saint Joseph Day celebration. Sure and ‘twas a fine day for all! It mirrored what ‘church’ is meant to be. Special thanks to all the laborers in the field who made the celebration possible. You are a gift to the parish and we thank you.


Thanks to our Confirmation candidates who served at our luncheon following the special Mass on Saturday. You are putting your gifts into service of the Lord. God Bless!

First Communion meeting Sunday, March 24 in Glover Hall following the 9:15 a.m. Liturgy.

The Easter Bunny Is Coming! Inviting all our parishioners in fourth grade and under to the Parish Center at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, for our annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by this year’s Confirmation class. The bunny always leaves some interesting things. Come and hunt with us!


March 17 Updates

Sunday Religious Ed. classes resume March 24. There is a meeting for parents of children making First Communion following the 9:15 a.m. Mass that morning.

Confirmation class resumes Saturday, March 23 at 9:30 a.m. in Glover Hall. Remember to bring a dessert for the Parish Luncheon to follow the Mass of Anointing.

Bible Study continues its exploration of the journey of Moses and the Israelites to the Promised Land. It’s never too late to join us on Mondays at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall!


March 10 Updates

Thank you to our Confirmation Candidates for their help in staffing our Mardi Gras Party. Thanks also to all the adults who helped make our evening possible and for all who braved the cold to be with us. See you at our St. Joseph & St. Patrick Day Party!

Reminder to Parents: Because of our upcoming Saints Dinner on Mar. 17, there are no classes on Saturday, Mar. 16 and Sunday, Mar. 17.

March 3 Updates

Religious Ed. Families: Class for Tuesday, Mar. 5 will take place at the parish Mardi Gras, our annual celebration. All are welcome as we burn last year’s palms in preparation for Ash Wednesday services. This is followed by a dessert night (the fat in “Fat Tuesday”)! All parishioners are welcome, and please bring your favorite sweet treat to share! Parents of Tuesday night students must pick up their children at the Parish Center.

Bible Study – Monday, Mar. 4 – Join us for our journey into the Book of Exodus, a fitting way for us to ready ourselves for our own Lenten journeys. Meetings are at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall. All are welcome.


February 24 Updates

Mark your calendars for our annual celebration of Mardi Gras – which translates into “Fat Tuesday” – on March 5. We start outdoors with burning last year’s palms and blessing them in preparation for Ash Wednesday services. This is followed by a dessert night (the fat in “Fat Tuesday”)! All parishioners are welcome, and you might bring your favorite sweet treat to share! In the Parish Center at 7 p.m.

Bible Study resumes Monday, Feb. 25, with the Book of Exodus, a fitting way for us to ready ourselves for our own Lenten journeys. Meetings are at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall. All are welcome.

Reservations for our Parish celebration of the feasts of St. Patrick and St. Joseph (Sunday, Mar. 17 at 1 p.m. in Parish Center) will be on sale this weekend and continue until Mar. 10. Dinner will consist of Corned Beef, Cabbage and Potatoes as well as Ziti and Meatballs with St. Joseph Day Zeppole for dessert. Meet new friends and join in the fun!

January 26 Updates

Classes for preparation for Confirmation began this week-end. If you have a child in Catholic school who is in eighth grade and wants to be confirmed with us, please call the office as soon as possible for more information.

First Eucharist parents – our next session is Sunday, Feb. 10 following the 9:15 a.m. Family Liturgy.

Interested in the story of the first disciple whom Jesus sent to tell the others of His resurrection? Join our Bible Study group on Mondays at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall. No tests, no homework, just great discussion and warm fellowship. All are welcome. Check it out!


January 20 Updates

Eighth grade students and their parents are reminded there is a meeting Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. in Glover Hall.

Due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, there is no Bible session on Monday, Jan. 21. Our exploration into the spirituality of Mary Magdalene will continue Monday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall.


January 13 Updates

First Communion students and their parents will meet Sunday, January 13 in Glover Hall following the Family Mass.

Confirmation candidates and their parents will meet Wednesday evening, January 23, in Glover Hall for their opening session of the new semester.

Our Bible Study will commence its exploration of Mary Magdalene, her story, how she became a victim of propaganda and what she teaches us about discipleship on Monday, January 14 in Glover Hall at 1 p.m. All are welcome.

December 30 Updates

Religious Education classes reconvene Sunday, Jan. 6, following the Family Liturgy.

Bible Studies resume Monday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. in Glover Hall. On January 14, we will begin exploring the wonderful richness of Mary Magdalene. Join us if you want to know more about her!

December 23 Updates

At Christmas, we are all connected in a most beautiful way, by the Love that was born that night. The divine babe who smiled from the manger belongs to all of us and so does this wondrous season when we celebrate His coming to us.

Joy to you all as we celebrate all that Christmas truly means – Peace, Hope and Love.

Congratulations to all our children who received the sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time last Saturday. You were wonderful and we are so proud of you and your families. Now, onward to First Communion! Remember to keep piling up those good deeds to give Jesus on your Communion day.
